Mysmartkid / Myslimkind, a Naspers startup business, joined forces with Prezence to conceptualise and build their digital presence. The company is aimed at parents of children under 6 years and provides a holistic child development programme. Our aim was to create the ultimate developmental and educational portal, in the form of a responsive website, that assists parents in preparing their children for school.
By paying a bi-monthly subscription fee, parents receive a product pack (bi-monthly), gain access to development information, expert guidance and support and other features such as a full e-commerce store. There were other types of user registration levels that allowed for non-club members to also use the site but to a limited degree.
The research and strategy resulted in close to twenty extensive user journeys, including interactive content areas, a blog, an integrated e-commerce system, forum, various levels of membership joining processes, member administration functionalities etc. The design was playful, fresh & quirky. But equally balanced with a feeling of professionalism. It was imperative for the user to feel confident that the offering is well researched and for them to get a sense of trustworthiness & authority.
